Yes - I'm posting my Cupcake Friday on Sunday. I did have this card done on Friday, but just got it off the camera. These are new goodies that I got from a new stamp company - Stamp a Sweet Impression. I've always loved Taylor's work and was excited to see she started her own stamp company. Be sure to check out her new business venture!

I made this card for the Card Party on a group I belong to. Hopefully she won't see it here before it gets to her. You have to see all the other cupcakes in Taylor's line - they are all so cute!

This Monkey's For You

I made the following card after I received my Sock Monkey set from SU. I was playing around and mailed this card off to a friend. I love playing with new things - of course, this was awhile ago, but I'm just now getting to post it.

I colored white grosgrain ribbon green with the marker. The turqouise ribbon is just that turqouise. All supplies are SU!. The scalloped edge is made with the scallop border punch. The hat and cupcake are up on dimensionals.

If you would like to purchase any of these products - you can go to my website (Karen's Stampin' Up! Website) and purchase them directly now. SU will then ship to your door - too exciting!!

I copied the following from Chris' blog - she is the creator of the BELLI Challenges.

Each week, Chris tries to give us a challenge that will use things we have lying around our stamp rooms! With a constant flow of new things coming out, I tend to forget about the other things I have and they quickly become clutter!
This Weeks Belli Challenge is FIBERS!! You can embellish anything with any of your FIBER things.

Here is what you need to do...Make a completed project embellishing your work with ANY FIBER. Share the link here in the comments linking to Chris's Blog and CBC33. When you post to Splitcoaststampers or to your Blog, be sure and put CBC33 as the KEYWORD and mention of the challenge - with a link!

Be sure to check out what everyone else has made and make a comment too for them please! We all LOVE comments. It is fun to see what everyone is thinking about what we are creating! :)

Fresh Cuts Swap
I don't think I showed this card I made for a swap a bit ago. I had joined a Sympathy swap over on Utah Divas International (UDI). I had just gotten this set from SU and wanted to use it.

The card is pretty self explanatory. I sponged all the edges, except the card base and the Night of Navy card stock, with Night of Navy ink. I went with a blue them because it I wanted it to be soothing and have a relaxed feel to it. Sympathy cards are never easy to make for me - I went with the Thinking of You sentiment because then you could use the card for other events beside Sympathy.

All Supplies SU:
Stamps: Fresh Cuts, Sincere Salutations
CS: WW, Brocade Blue, Night of Navy
Ink: Brocade Blue, Night of Navy
Other: Ticket Corner Punch, Stamping Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals, Navy Grosgrain Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope to be able to share my exciting news with everyone soon. Just getting a few things 'ironed' out and the ok before doing so!!

Simple Stamping/Card Making

For some people, simple stamping is easy. However, for me - it isn't. I always find it hard to do. Most of the time, I look at the finished project and think it's missing something and always want to add more and more - thus making it no longer simple.

Well - I decided that I wanted to try the Card Kits that SU! sells. Yes - these are MY solution to simple stamping!! I made both of the below cards in less than 10 minutes. The main time was cutting the paper. This particular kit uses adhesive backed die cuts. So simple and easy. I needed cards for different occasions, so I simply changed the sentiment to fit what I needed. How easy would these be to have ready to mail without a sentiment. Then stamp it and mail when needed. I see myself doing up a bunch of these for those times when I have no time, but need a special card for someone!

I have plenty more, but I'm trying to space it out a bit. Since I hadn't posted in some time - I figured you all didn't want to be bombarded at once. :)

Day Planner and More
I made this day planner to go along with the frog container. This set is the Trendy Girl set from Sweet N Sassy Stamps. Katie's (my SNSS exchange partner) favorite colors are pink and brown, so I made them coordinate. And what girl doesn't love a nice purse! :)

I used Copics to color the images and some designer paper from my extensive paper stash! Yes - I love to collect/hoard supplies and have finally forced myself to start using some of it.

I have some really exciting news - just waiting to get the ok though before I post it. So, be looking here for my news!! Can't wait to share!!

The above sampling are puzzle pieces. My 4yr old's first day of preschool is today. So, in preparation for helping her learn her alphabet better - I made the puzzle pieces. They are grouped into 3 for a couple reasons - the Cuttlebug template comes this way :), it will be easier to teach the letters without having to focus on too many at once, and I felt adding more images would get too confusing.

I made this box to put the puzzle pieces in. I got the template from Nichole Heady's blog . It was super quick and easy to do. I stamped the lid with a couple letters and images to represent those letters.

That's all I have for now. Hope you enjoyed my take on the BELLI Challenge. Be sure to check
out the Design Team blogs - they did an awesome job on the challenge.

Supplies:
Stamps - various companies (Inky Antics - Alphabet; Cornish Heritage Farms; All That Scraps - CC Designs; LIWP; SU!; Sweet N' Sassy Stamps)
CS - WW, Ballet Blue, Chipboard (to make the puzzle pieces sturdy)
Ink - Palette Noir, Ballet Blue, Real Red
Other - Copic Markers, Some images hand-drawn, Cuttlebug Puzzle Die-Cut

Just Ducky and Some Inchies
I made this card to go along with the previous posts for my SNSS exchange. I finally finished everything and mailed it off the other day. I felt terrible for having it so long and was glad to get it in the mail to her (thanks Katie for being patient)!! All the stamps used are from Pond Pals - Sweet N Sassy Stamps. Korin (owner of SNSS) just updated/upgraded her website, so be sure to check it out! She also just released new sets yesterday that are sure to be must haves on your list. I was just over there starting a shopping cart. I can't decide - I want it all, but my wallet doesn't have the same mindset as me. :) Anyway - on to the card.

I stamped the background piece as whole pieces - 3 of them (1 x 3). I then cut them into inchies (1x1) before adhering them to the card stock. The duck is popped on dimensionals. All were colored in with Copic markers.

These were some inchies that I stamped up for my exchange partner. These are ready to go for her to put on a project she creates. Inchies are all the rave now and they are super quick to make.

That's basically it to them. If you have any specific questions - just let me know. Sorry for the lack in posting to my blog. I hope to do better - I'm trying to schedule time each night for my blog updating or I won't get to it.

Thanks for stopping by!! Be sure to stop back tomorrow for the BELLI Challenge - I'm a guest designer for the challenge this week and next!!! Woohoo!!!
