Diva Inspiration Challenge #58

Can you believe it is Thursday already?? I'm glad though because that means we are one day closer to the weekend! Today is another UDI inspiration challenge for you. I missed playing along last week due to my son being in the hospital - not a planned visit. He is fine and doing good now, but that meant I wasn't able to participate last week.

So - on to today's challenge! The picture below was our inspiration. Isn't it a beautiful pot of flowers? I love the green!! You would think that I would have chose that to jump start my card, but nooooo.....

Here is what I came up with. Now I will tell ya - I am not pleased with this card. Not sure what it is, but it just doesn't do it for me. I think I've lost my mojo (the past couple cards I've made haven't turned out the way I wanted them to).

Things to Note:
-- Circle Clear Rhinestone brads were used in some of the flower centers
-- I stamped the flowers once and stamped again without reinking
-- The 2 individual flowers are cut out and popped on dimensionals

Supplies:
Stamps: Eastern Blooms
CS: Bermuda Bay, WW, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay DSP
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Other: Markers - Close to Cocoa, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Circle Clear Rhinestone Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stamping Sponge, 1/16" Circle Punch

Thanks for stopping by! I have some other cards to post later - they are the club cards from this week. Also - be sure to stop by the UDI Blog to see what the other challenge team members came up with!!

Razzle Medallion

I posted a challenge on the UDI blog to create a Welcome/Just Because/etc type card. The purpose was to then send them to our Welcome Coordinator to send out to new members to the group. Well, you can't post a challenge and then not take part in it!

So, below is the card I did and mailed off. I didn't put a sentiment on it - didn't have one that I really liked. I figured it could be sent as is or the coordinator could stamp one.

Things to note:
-- I used the brayer to ink up the Medallion stamp (makes for even coverage)
-- Circle Rhinestone brad was placed in the center of the Medallion

I'm really glad that I got the new In Colors this year. I've always been hesitant in getting them because they would retire. In fact, it's been a few yeas since I last purchased them. However, this year decided that I would get them all. So, glad that I did!! I have been loving them and using them like crazy!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Medallion Stamp (pg.133)
CS: Rich Razzleberry (pg.155), WW (pg.155)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry (pg.155)
Other: Rich Razzleberry Polka Dotted Ribbon (pg.182), Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads (pg.179), Brayer (pg.192), 1/16" Circle Punch (pg.186)

Thanks for stopping by!! I have a yard sale tomorrow, so need to head to bed. I'm selling TONS of retired stamp sets - hope they sell!! If they don't - I'll be posting them here. :)

Utah Divas Inspiration Challenge #56

Sorry this is late - I had intentions of posting sooner, but my day filled up quickly. Of which - 2 hours was spent getting my hair done. Yep - finally had it cut and colored...it's been at least 1 year or more since I've had it cut. It feels so much better!!! Now I'll need to update my picture - that didn't even look like me. I had long hair - all one length.

Ok - enough about my hair....on to the UDI Challenge this week. Below was our picture to use for inspiration. Of course, the first thing I saw was a rose (besides the obvious shoe). So, I went with the rose theme.

Things to note:
-- Filigree brad was inserted inside the Jumbo Grommet
-- Flower was colored with the new In Color marker
-- I used the sketch from this past Saturday over on the UDI Blog
-- Rich Razzleberry used for DTP on the WW

Sorry for the bad picture - I wanted to get it posted tonight though. I'll try to retake the picture tomorrow if I get a chance. Trying to get ready for a yard sale this weekend, so not sure when I'll get a chance.

Supplies:
Stamps: Fifth Ave Floral
CS: Rich Razzleberry, WW, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Ink: Palette Noir, Rich Razzleberry
Other: Rich Razzleberry Marker, Jumbo Grommet - White, Filigree Brad, Razzleberry Polka Dotted Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!! Stop by tomorrow for some more Razzleberry fun!!

Stamp Club Project #3

Here is the 3rd project that was made for stamp club. I've always loved this set and was glad to see it in the new catalog. I used the sketch from Stampin Addicts - SASC21. This sketch is perfect for this set due to the space needed for the flowers.

Things to note:
-- Itty Bitty Backgrounds was stamped all around the image
-- Stamp off repeatedly (3-4 times) before stamping onto project
-- Scallop Edge Punch used on Dusty Durango card stock
-- Image was colored using the new In Color markers

Supplies:
Stamps: Inspired By Nature, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
CS: Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, WW, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Ink: Dusty Durango
Other: In Color Markers - Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede; Scallop Edge Punch

Thanks for stopping by!! Be sure to come back - I've got more cards to show off!! :)

Utah Divas Challenge #55 and Stamp Club Project #2

This was another tough challenge for me. I see lots in the picture, but transforming that into a project was not easy.

I went with the rust color at the bottom of the picture. I also went with the 'nature' theme of the picture.

The above card uses the Trendy Trees set. I also used the sketch challenge from Splitcoaststampers (SC240). This card uses the new In Colors as well.

Supplies:
Stamps: Trendy Trees
CS: Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, WW, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Ink: Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Old Olive
Other: Stampin Dimensionals

Stamp Club Project #2
This is another project that was done at stamp club. My focus was to showcase the In Colors for this stamp club. I used the SSC109 from the Stamping411 blog. As well, I used the color challenge from Stampin Addicts - SACC24.

Supplies:
Stamps: On Your Birthday
CS:Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, WW, Bermuda Bay DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Other: Bermuda Bay Polka Dotted Ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!!

Stamp Club Project #1

First, I need to apologize to my UDI Challenge Team (especially Maria since I told her I would be participating). I have flaked on the past 2 weeks of challenges - unintentionally. I swear I'm in the early stages of alzheimer's. I can't remember what day it is or what I'm supposed to be doing half of the time! Anyway - Thursdays is our day to post our Challenge designs. I don't have that today, but I will post tomorrow my take.

Today - I have the first of 3 cards that we made at Stamp Club. This one was inspired by Ilina Crouse and 2 of her cards.

Things to note:
- the ribbon was turned opposite so that the polka dots were on the bottom
- both pieces of WW were sponged with Melon Mambo ink

Supplies:
Stamps: Define Your Life, Baroque Motifs
CS: Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, WW, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo
Other: Melon Mambo Polka Dotted Ribbon, Stamping Sponge, Stampin Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!! Be sure to come back tomorrow - I'll have 2 cards to show you!!

Stampin' Hugs,
Karen
